A half century ago, the site that would become Paradise Valley Country Club was simply a nice piece of Platte River bottom—good enough for grazing, and essentially treeless. Its founders’ vision produced something entirely different—a beautiful tree-studded tract of land that combines highly-manicured fairways with unsurpassed playability.
Located on the west side of Casper, Wyo., the “PVCC” is well-situated to provide a unique golf experience, supported by owners who are gifted in golf course operations and management. PVCC offers additionally an outstanding private club dining facility open year round and a strong selection of menu choices.
The par-71 course plays 6700 yards from the tips. It was slightly remodeled for play in 2007 and has been encouraging play by local golfers ever since.
Many of the new features include new tee boxes, sand bunkers and a new irrigation lake between the 17th and 18th holes. The length of the course— along with its affordable rates—make Paradise Valley an excellent Value.
True value, of course, often boils down to how you put your membership to use. For families at Paradise, the value of the club’s junior program is second to none.
Ages for the club’s junior program run from 6 through 18, and Tuesday morning is the dedicated Junior Golf day. Registration fees are just $80 for members’ children and $120 for children that are sponsored by a member. And of course, appropriate golf attire and collared shirts are required for all youngsters. (The goals of the club’s junior program are simple: build a first-class junior golf program, then help Juniors develop their skills by breaking down the game of golf into six distinct categories: Putting, Chipping, Pitching, Fairway Irons, Driving and Sand Play.)
